grizz Posted Monday at 01:07 Author Posted Monday at 01:07 So today……. Adam wanted to buy a 110k mile 25 year old Limousine. Just use as a runaround car. Yes. Thats what he does. So we left Dennis’ place at 10.30 with Tyler along to drive the Ford pickup truck back. Got there by 12.45 and waited to 1.15 for the seller Test drive, details and cash exchanged and were off. Zero aircon. My passenger door glass would not go down. We stopped at the first auto parts store, paid $67.00 for a Freon refill kit. Failed……. Probably a leak somewhere in the system. Home by 4.30 pm. Dennis who has repaired more limos than he cares to admit, expected a total POS. Walked around it a few times, looked inside all the door shuts, interior and under the hood at the motor and finally in the trunk. The trunk had about $80.00 to $100.00 worth of Fireball party buckets and Jaegermeister sleeves (10 x 50ml per sleeve), Planters peanuts and other unused items. The car came with four new tyres, new headlights and ovrr half a tank of fuel. The 120 plus mile drive home was absolutely comfortable and smooth. Proclaiming it a lot better than expected . grizz Posted Monday at 15:02 Author Posted Monday at 15:02 Been using a bit of trim off the El Camino target shooting pickup truck to make up a bit of trim for the limo this morning. Next step, fine tools to shape it more, then fitting. Not perfect but better than a blank space. GlenAnderson, Westbay and MrBig 3
grizz Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago America 2025 Impulse trip…… Invitation from Adam, Dennis’ son. He paid for the ticket with some of his millions of air-miles. So I Had a date all day on Monday with this lovely lady. Met her last years road trip with Craig for literally 5 minutes and the friendship grew since then. She had driven over two hours to come see me. With her husband’s knowledge. I have spoken with him previously on FaceTime as well. It was undeniably one of the nicest days I’ve spent with a lady in the last 3 plus years. Crazy, I know. She brought me a bottle of Canadian Royal Crown Blackberry whisky. Shared with Dennis of course. I had made her a special skull spider after realising she liked them, and brought her a few packs of British playing cards for her AirBnB home. When she drove off in the afternoon, I felt like a kid who had dropped his ice cream. Robbed, with no way of fixing it. Just a lovely day with a super nice human being. Who’s spirit lights up the world. My life is good. (Picture of last year’s first meeting included when we met) . 666jjp, Brigsy, SilverMachine and 1 other 4
