OOF Car related mishaps/injuries

Lots. 

Face full of petrol inc eyes when removing fuel tank from my Maestro. 

Instinctively turned my head, then the petrol poured in my ear and I couldn't get it to come out.

That was tres uncomfortable but there have been many digits caught with hammer, grazed knuckles, bashed heads etc. Nothing serious enough to warrant a visit to A&E except the Petrol Incident.

Most damage I did was a concussion courtesy of 156 SW’s boot locking mechanism.

I swapped cars with my then girlfriend’s dad to pick up something that wouldn’t fit in the back of 156 and it’s ridiculously shaped boot opening. I already managed to twat my head on something that day, but that wasn’t too serious. The boot struts were shit since I bought the car, but they held on the even ground, so it was always a job for another day. Went to give the car back, opened the boot, but didn’t notice it was parked on a slight incline. It held. I reached inside. Then it didn’t. Smacked me right in the middle of the head, sending me directly to the ground, and to CT scan when I got a fever 45 minutes later.

Result - concussion, redefinition of a headache, feeling absolutely shattered for two weeks and a week off work.

Replaced the fucking struts as soon as I could stand without feeling dizzy again.
