Cheap 1999 Ford Escort For Sale

Just advertising this on here for my car illiterate friend.

 

He has owned this 1999 T reg Escort 1.6i Finesse for the last 4 years, He's never really had any problems apart from the normal routine serviceable items that have need to be replaced.

 

Sadly it's been well used and abused where he used it for work everyday with tools in the back, and it's quite grubby.

 

It has a months MOT left and 3 months tax but it needs work for the next mot.

 

That he knows of it will need a new windscreen, pair of wishbones, two new tyres, brakes need looking at as they grind and the handbrake doesn't work, It has a dented front wing with a gaffer taped front bumper and both rear wheel arches are tatty.

 

It does have air con, a set of alloys, CD player and has covered 104k and could be a half decent car after a bit of TLC.

 

The car's in Clacton in Essex and he just needs to fine as he's now got a new car, £200 will see it yours.

The spare is on it at the moment and the alloy is in the boot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He did just sell it on ebay (LINK) but the highest bidder has only registered today and also bought a Golf tonight as well and with no contact he's got to be a hoax.

He's just relisted it for £195 BIN if anyone is interested, It is a bit rough but a bit of time and money if you fix it yourself and you could have a half decent car.

Well, blow me ! if you need a host of spares for it, a mate of mine in darkest Hampshire has got a recently bent 1998 Escort Finesse that was shunted up the rear near Southampton whilst stationary in traffic.A very clean car, also dark blue, 59000 miler and well looked after, but insurance co. has told him it's a "Cat -C" write off....They were still using it until recently, all lights work, no smashed lenses, just that the tailgate will not open now, the rear bumper is history, but otherwise drives well.It is his wife's car, and she wants nothing more to do with it, they are offered a hansome payout, and can keep the car for £125...... if I were there, I'd snap it up, sort out the tailgate/bumper, and have a cheap reliable runaround - ideal for "Ugly American" I would think !

trigger was the guy who won the car seroofingneil if so then it was my golf he bid on and didnt pay for the mug. Its just when i rang him and asked when was he picking up the car he said what car the escort?so it seems a coincidence

The username was something strange like ffghitfgg but looking on goofbay it was a Golf that he had won.A white MK 1 Golf GTi for about £400 IIRC.The Escort is now sold to a chap from Baslidon.
