New shite wanted for 2010!

Ok well i think of them as shite but you guys may not agree. But what we can agree on is its a lot of bang for your buck.Im looking to replace my N reg BMW 328i fairly soon with an e39 5 series, im not interested in a Six cylinder 5 series, im after a V8, preferably a 540i around the P to S reg mark as they are now filthy cheap and it would be rude of me not to buy one.Question is im well clued up on the sixes, but i know nothing of the m62 V8's other than they dont have nikasil trouble. Anyone owned one? What advice can you guys give me?

I know you want a V8, but if an S reg 528 touring will do, mine may be up for sale at the end of Jan.

I've a serious urge for an 8 series but too many cars already....

Sorry guys those are both tourings, dont want a touring regardless of engine.Anyone lived with one of these?
