Going to try and get to Kelly's scrapyard this week to relieve a fuel tank from a Landcrab for Keef.Have a few tools, room in my car for said tank and could probably introduce people to some new expletives.Anyone fancy mucking in? I'm a bit of a short tempered, web toed illegitimate when it comes to things like this so if anyone has tomorrow afternoon, Weds morning or Friday afternoon free and fancies given a mechanical chimp a hand I'be very grateful.Form an orderly queue?

Id come and give you some moral support mate - thats about all I would be good for sadly I fear, but im working tomorrow and going to see another motor on Wednesday fingers crossed now ive sold the Beamer.Have you spoken to Kellys? I hope he hasnt quoted you a crazy price! are you going to get anything else off the landcrab too?I sometimes wonder whether he intends to actually sell anything or just 'collects' stuff for one amazing pile of autoshite.

this thread reminded me that theres a landcrab (maybe Austin 1800) in a driveway on Holt Road in Wrexham.its quite far back down the drive by what looks like an old Austin Cambridge or something. Its been there years and not moved.I would try and get a pic of it but everytime I try theres an old Renault Clio parked in front of it and the gates have a big padlock on them. The house scares me a bit, its VERY run down and reminds me of that house from that film with Tom Hanks in, The Burbs.

hey Keef is right! If you see any 'crab nuts' (wheel nuts) I could do with 2 or 3 actually as I have stripped the threads in some of mine because of my own stupidity.

Apparently it belongs to a chap called Jake. He is in the middle of getting the little bit of work done on it for the MoT etc The car in the back is an Austin Westminster A95.

Blinking flippity heck:Just called the yard back, the car is on it's bum with a Renner 5 on top right in the middle of the yard and they 'cannot get anywhere near it'.Anyone know what the chances are of some trolly jack action and still being able to get under it safely to remove the tank?If it's feasible I will probably require a hand or two if possible?Cheers.

they 'cannot get anywhere near it'.

If they can't be bothered to remove it or at least make it accessible they obviously don't want to sell it!Please don't put yourself in a situation where you have the risk of a couple of cars falling on you.

You should be fine, as I don't think they'd let you in if it was unsafe, but ......
