I went to the annual Gretna Meet. It was alright.

I even brought my Roewe!

I really liked this Monogram 45. Full oyster leather seats and a mind bending colour (potato cam photos don't do it justice)

This had a green Personal Line interior.

I thought I had better update this since this is now my only working car (I am excluding the Audi as Yvonne uses that every day) since I had to sell the Audi and the E46 oil light came on.

I've had this for 4 years now and it's been a great car and never let me down. I've become so used to the small 75 niggles that I fix them now without really thinking about it! Usually interior related though!

It had a bit of a rough patch earlier in the year as I was using it intensively to go back and forth to hospital to see my dad. The road over the the hospital was awful so both bottom arms were knocking their tits off and I also burst the OSF damper.

I was a bit skint after Christmas and fuel to and from the hospital was also kicking my wallet so I got a complete 2nd hand pair of ZT Comfort front legs which are correct for the Contemporary SE for £60 and had the OSF one fitted. I also forked out for the best* pair of bottom arms I could find and that saw it with another year's ticket.

DMGRS warned that these cheaper bottom arms will be knocking again in 6 months and almost to the day, they were right. It's not bad though so it can wait a while.

More urgent is the bodywork:

OSR arch has burst through:

OSF wing and sill

The front bumper was ruined by TFR and mileage way before I bought it

NSR arch had a repair many years before I got it and was already rotten by the time I owned it:

Inner sill on the OSR is a bit flaky:

Suspension mount is fine though - look how good the bolts still are. I'm glad PPD only impacted daft wee things like the badge on the keyfob and plastic caps on the bolts that hold the seat belts in. Someone still cared at Rover.

Bonnet edge has rotted through on the nearside. TADTS.

So it's going to Gingernutzz to have all this sorted out. Should look minty once it's done and be good for a good few years yet.
