Recently returned from the Land of the Gun & Private Health Insurance where I spotted a few things that made me think of YOU...

Extremely entertaining magazine full o'shite on the aeroplane, which kept me happily reading for the full eight hour flight:

Hilarious. This one is definitely ILLEGAL in Blighty:

Here you have a choice of designs...

...Hideous or Extremely Hideous. To keep it relevant to motorcars, however:

Actually my American friends had one of these and it's rather good. Still probably illegal in the UK, and you'd miss the blind spot, wouldn't you?

I go to:

Luckily there was no sign of the huge flying lobster, but that is to demonstrate the disappointingly poor quality of their bad taste postcards compared with ours. As you'll recall, I'm looking for beautiful views blighted by shite. This was the best I could find there:

A close-up of the cars:

Picture taken a few years ago, when there was a bit more classic American gas-guzzlin' crap around. Managed to find these fine decaying Oldsmobiles, however:

I am always very irritated when some TV twonck says 'Oooh look, a half-timbered car! How very British!' Woodies are AMERICAN, wood on British cars is a copy of an American style. (Or you can use wood-effect plastic when you run out of real wood.)

Unfortunately I took to photographing scooters in said Harvard Square:

That one is somewhat cool. As you can see, there are a lot of pushbikes there too, it reminds me of our own University towns. Perhaps there is a college nearby? Coincidentally, the area is also called Cambridge!

Proper American pickup for you truck fans:

Found a few real American classic cars:

These Segways were simply ignoring all other traffic, causing a massive tailback in central Boston, in a successful effort to make absolute dickeads of themselves:

And NOBODY hooted at them! The woman on the left in the tie-dyed shellsuit takes the biscuit (or rather, the cookie).

They have some fine shoeboxes there, too:

Nice shittifer cheekily parked beside WW2 destroyer:

Unfortunately I stumbled across a dealership full of fantastic beauties, wasting much of the digital camera's memory on them, when I meant to grab pictures of taped-together rust-buckets...

But you don't want to look at them. Here's a wholesome American girl with whom to sign off:

:D @ Segways - watched bits of a Frasier episode yesterday in which Niles made a nuisance of himself (well, more than usual) on his new toy...

Went to Lisbon earlier in the year - the police over there buzz about on Segways. Doesn't exactly make them look particularly menacing!

What the? Are those Segway folks just having a chat in the middle of a junction?I must say, though...I don't particularly want a Segway, but I would be interested in giving one a go if ever offered the chance

I've seen cops zipping around in NY on those segways, you're right that it doesn't have the same deterrent effect as walking/whistling Dixon of Dock green style:) I think they need cup holders before they really catch on.
