STUNO Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Heard something a week or two ago about a council somewhere doing away with static cameras. Apparently they found them a waste if time/money Does anyone know more, I think it was down south somewhere.Edit ... Google seem to say Swindon
Mr Lobster Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 From what I read, they have done away with all the static speed cameras as they did not feel they were cost effective or doing anything about accidents / injuries and instead will spend the money on more proactive measures - interactive signs, mobile camera units etc.
