Should I be concerned..?

I was about to start my car yesterday and found these two lights on together...

Both these lights go out when I start the engine and don't come back on while I'm using the car. The coolant was a bit low (but not below minimum) so I topped it up but these lights still show prior to engine switch on.

There are no visible leaks, everything looks and sounds as it should with the car running as normal and there is no overheating.

There must be something wrong in there if this orange light is showing...or is there? Any suggestions please :)

I think the K light means there is a fault code. Probably not the end of the world if it goes out and the car runs alright but you might want to get it read.

My 405 diesel started showing the STOP and coolant warning lights, and kept running its cooling fan. Turned out to be dirty coolant sensors, apparently they didn't like being covered in vegetable oil during fuel filter changes.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. That's the engine diagnostic light; my 405 2.0 petrol had that light coming on regularly for two years, usually in damp weather. It was still going strong when I sold it.

"STOP" ... okay ... now what?

No, the stop light was flashing at that point as it usually does (I probably had the door open or something) then IT goes out with the rest of the lights.Anyway, I took it to Leicestershire today and it didn't miss a beat so, I feel a little more assured about it's state of health. Even so, I'll get it read just to be on the safe side...Thanks for the advice guys... :D:wink:

STOP lights are GR8 (not). In the old french stuff, all you got was a big STOP light, in lieu of a temperature gauge, volts, oil pressure, all that jazz. Basically if it told you to STOP it was probably already too late. They may as well have had a back-lit bit that said PANIC. Or DON'T PANIC. Or YOU'VE F*CKED IT, YOU MORON. Whatever.

Very true, but most other brands followed the trend of replacing guages with little red lights in mass-market drossboxes which only lit up once beyond the point of no return (especially OIL). I think the last car I had with actual guages which told you what the engine was doing was my Nova SR (picture to be posted as soon as I can find it  )
