speedo question

So the Safranes speedo snapped at the connector between the speedo and the cable,not sure why but the actual speedo is toast...

So the cable is fine,i have found a replacement panel with the correct mechanical speedo in it BUT its in KPH,not MPH will this be out of calibration if I fit this to my MPH instrument panel,i could fit the complete panel but reads in KPH swopping the speedo is easy enough but not sure if this will read correctly?

Just drive along with a sat nav and note the mph position on the dial .....

 

 

other option is to change the faceplate over , if the needles will come off ?

But only on a flat road. Satnav thinks you have covered a shorter distance when hills are involved.
