I've seen one dead cheap, in fact I put it in the ebay thread here I think.

Long mot, and a good mot history, according to the checker.

Bit of rust around the door bottoms and rear arches, but not disgusting from the pics I've seen.

 

Are these the model that suffers from rust in the front suspension perches?

 

Any info appreciated.

Yup. Daimler Benz AG heard on the grapevine that BMW were replacing the M44 with some horrendous oil leaking piece of shit, and wanted a slice of that action. The M111 - that never goes wrong - was replaced with the M271. Nice work Fritz. 

 

They aren't as bad as the N42 but I still wouldn't.
