VAG Shite - OMG it may not be that bad....

One of the things that would stop me ever considering buying VAG shite is the horrible red dash lighting, I hate it.

Agreed! My mk5 Golf based Jetta has the blue and red dash lighting and I’ve acquired a set of clocks from a Scirocco which light up white instead because I hate them so much. Problem is you cannot just swap the binnacles like you could on old cars, as they are coded to the car, not only that, Sciroccos use different key immobiliser transponders and a different amount of pins on the plug for which an adaptor is available, so 30quid for the clocks, 18quid for the loom pin adaptor and then 80quid to have the clocks programmed to the car/new immobiliser chips and the mileage corrected to the mileage shown on my car make it very expensive.

Well, things have conspired against me swanning off for a ride around as been busy at the farm. However, today I managed to make time for a couple of cheeky beers at my local. Had to wait for the sun to go in so the VW showed up in the photo, and had to carefully park it to obscure the 07 plate UK registered Porsche directly in front of it!
