Diagbox/Lexia/Peugeot Planet. Anyone got one or can help make mine work?

Firstly, soz for making a whole new thread about this, I know it's not as exciting as dragging a Lonsdale or something back from Somalia but never mind.

 

As some may have seen I've just purchased an inadvisable semi-modern French heap (Citroen C8)

 

I've got a few warning lights so I could do with scanning it with Lexia. 

 

I have actually got a pirate Lexia interface, bought off of Beko for £20 with the proviso that he could never get it to work.

So it could be that the interface is a dud. 

 

Anyway, I have got a 32bit XP virtual machine set up installed with diagbox 5.02, which should be old enough to work with any clone interface (there's something about early clones, rev B, not working on later versions) and it all seems to work but doesn't connect to the car.

 

So I guess my questions are:

1) Can anyone help me get this thing working? I am trying to bottom out the device driver side of things, what should it show up as in device manager?

 

Has anyone local (West Yorks / nearish Manchester) got a working setup I can either test my interface on or borrow the wire from to try and determine which bit isn't working? 

 

iii) Remote electric doors.

Of course I have, in fact it was about 50% of my viewing/test drive.

 

Got to make sure they work.

 

Most of the time though, I have the children with me, so I'm busy trying to stop them playing with the doors excessively, as per the "do as I say, not as I do" school of parenting.
