Okay, pics unearthed on the phone's hard drive, so let's get the Cararama stuff finished off here.

***SOLD SOLD SOLD*** Ford Transit with trailer and RIB, in Fire Service Investigation Unit flavour.

Not a bad rig.

£6 posted.

***EDIT: SOLD to Mr. Quicksilver****

Genuinely odd one here:

P1060687.JPG

P1060688.JPG

P1060689.JPG

We appear to have a 1950s Chevrolet towing truck, wearing Ford livery, pulling a modern double-axle trailer with a Jeep CJ2-A on it. To make matters even more baffling, the Jeep appears to be without its most distinctive styling feature, its grille - instead there's just a flat piece of painted metal.

Take it away for £8 posted, it's doing my nut in.

There's a lot of detail in there, mind. The ramps on the trailer slide out and the jockey wheel pivots and all.

Yes please, that's the one. What are the sills like

Well, it's spent 15 years in a sealed hermetic bubble - so I'd say they'll be absolutely bloody shagged.

***OFF TO PASTURES NEW*** A rather pleasing little set now - Mini Countryman with caravan.

P1060702.JPG

P1060703.JPG

P1060704.JPG

I seem to remember this was sold as a Marks & Spencer 'gift solution' for Fathers Day, back in the mid-2000s - so could well be a set exclusive to them.

£5 posted!

Trucks now!

***SOLD*** The bin lorry's been claimed already, but how about a Mercedes street sweeper?

P1060709.JPG

£5 posted!

Posted

**** SOLD!**** Mercedes Actros 6-wheel box truck, in suitably generic 'Logistics' livery.

P1060713.JPG

Opening doors at the back, mind.

Also £5 posted.

Posted

**** SOLD SOLD SOLD **** Another 6-wheeler box truck - think this one might be a Scania.

P1060710.JPG

(You can tell my knowledge of commercial vehicles putters out beyond anything bigger than a Transit.)

Fiver!

Posted

****GONE ALSO **** Lastly, Mercedes Actros 'Euro Gas' tanker.

P1060711.JPG

As with all of these, a good basis for a Code 3 repaint, I'd hazard.

£5.00, posted.

Now, just as the aforementioned trucks are 1/80 scale rather than the 1/72 scale most of Cararama's cars appear in, here's a few smaller scale trucks that I'll warrant are intended for US railway modellers, at 1/87 scale.

International something-or-other tractor unit.

P1060706.JPG

£4 posted.

Posted

***SOLD!!!*** Another International, this time a skip truck - and this one has an amazingly intricate and fully functional extending boom mechanism, for literally hours of fun (hey, I did).

P1060705.JPG

£5 posted!

And the final International, this time a tipper. Again, the tip bed works.

P1060707.JPG

£5 posted, with usual caveats of amazing discounts for bulk purchase and so forth.

Some bigger playsets now.

This one encompasses a Mercedes Actros Fire Tender, a Mercedes Vito police minibus, and a Mercedes ML420 paramedic response vehicle.

P1060684.JPG

P1060685.JPG

Comes complete with two giants and some pieces of gym equipment, for reasons I cannot fathom.

£10 posted!

Yep, that Chevy tow truck is the one I called dibs on. I'm enjoying your sales patter - who could resist buying such finely described piles of miniature chod?

Okay, a few playsets that are more kiddy-oriented in terms of colours and accessories, now:

P1060667.JPG

P1060668.JPG

This is a Tesco Junior explorer set, comprising:

  • Merecedes A-class (orange)
  • BMW X5 (metallic blue/grey)
  • Chevrolet Caprice (green)
  • Mercedes CLK (yellow)
  • Saab 9-5 (silver)
  • Mercedes E-class estate (red)
  • Mercedes rigid transporter truck, in the wrong scale
  • A working inspection ramp
  • Shitloads of signs, barriers, cones, little men etc, ideal for finding in the dark with bare feet.

P1060669.JPG

P1060670.JPG

P1060671.JPG

Price on this? Looking £10 posted.

Honestly don't know what, if anything, these are worth.

Good stuff - added to your pile, sir.

Hey cheers! I'm hoping the answer is - nobody can resist! Really would like to minimise the car boot sale stuff this summer, and - weird as it sounds - I much prefer knowing where all these lumps of my once mighty* collection are ending up.

*for 'mighty', read 'unfocused, sprawling, chaotic and ultimately ungovernable'

If no one else wants them I'll take all those 1/80 trucks. Don't want to be greedy so I'll let others have a chance first though.

Two more Tesco sets - this time with articulated Mercedes transporters in the wrong scale.

P1060672.JPG

***SOLD!!!*** Set 1

P1060673.JPG

P1060674.JPG

Cars are:

  • Mercedes S-class (red)
  • Mercedes ML420 (blue)
  • Jaguar S-Type (silver)
  • Porsche 911S (?) (yellow)

Set 2:

P1060675.JPG

P1060676.JPG

  • Toyota Rav4 (green)
  • Mitsubishi Evo (red)
  • BMW 5-series (white)
  • Saab 9-3 (yellow)

Say £10 for each set posted, and both for £18 (with further bulk discount applicable, obvs)

Posted

***SOLD!!!*** Another playset of the same stripe, but boxed as Chad Valley - which I believe to be the old Woolworths own-brand name.

P1060677.JPG

Models in here are:

P1060678.JPG

P1060680.JPG

  • Mercedes C-class (I think - silver)
  • New Mini (yellow)
  • New Beetle (red)
  • Volvo V70 (green)

Again, £10 posted for this one too.

Interestingly, there were four differently configured sets to collect, it seems.

Well, that just about brings the Cararama to a close for now - though I think there are more lurking which I plucked from the collection and dumped in the For Sale box that I may not have yet photographed - will have another look tonight. There seem to be a fair few more in the box than there are pics in the folder, is all I'll say.

Here's a few more waifs and strays in approx. 1/72, then:

**** SOLD*** Ford Mustang

P1060607.JPG

Not sure of the maker, think it's something like 'Road Eagle' or summat.

£1.50

Posted

Mustang and E60 too please. Is that it for 1/72 stuff now?
