Any Ford / Mazda Techs in here ??

Now, some of you may remember this from last week, wifes car FTP 20mins after a dealer service.

 

 

Well, they removed this and all is good again.

 

 

 

I do know that at one time Ford and Mazda were pissing in the same pot and as you will see the Mazda dealers describe this as an aftermarket part. However, this alarm looks very much like a plug and play part, fitted by the dealership upon first purchase....So I googled it and it has the blue oval endorsement all over it.

There was no charge for this one hours work so i've no gripe at all, but I am curious, in your valued opinion was this fitted by Mazda dealers or not......Thanks.

I found this, which suggests that it's aftermarket but designed for professional installation.
