Tractor shite

Bit of an oddity this one, an Ebro 460 from the late 1960s. On first glance it looks like a Massey Ferguson 100 Series, most well known in the UK for the iconic 135 which are still quite common on hill farms or up to their axles in cowshit on a yard scraper. 

But underneath the panels its actually one of these 

a Fordson E1A from the 50s and early 60s. Ebro manufactured tractors under license from a number of overseas firms, much like Santana and SEAT and were still selling tractors from their previous partner modernised using panelwork from their current partner.

I have a thing for Eastern Bloc machinery and the large state collective farms and especially the East German ones.

These farm could have 5000+ hectars, 2000+ cows, 400+ employes and one had 88 tractors and 27 combines harvester.

All photos are from former East Germany I think. And Fortschritt was East Germany's agricultural machinery company and produced everything from tractors to combines and implements and more.
