Local Shite: THE MOVIE.

Ok, it's not actually a movie about shite, but I came across an amateur video made in my local town of Hastings, Sussex circa 1988. It's essentially a tour of the town centre and is over 90 minutes long! Which is probably not very interesting to those who aren't local to the area. But what is interesting is the fact that this video is a 400% WALL-TO-WALL SHITESPOTTERS PARADISE. It's as close as you'll get to a time machine today of that I am sure. I hope you enjoy.

How baggy  do some of those 80s cars look - they must only have been 4 or 5 years old!    There is a W reg Renner 18 that looks like its been through the mill already, yet  the Golf convertible looks almost too modern to be in that kind of street scene as do the Mk3 Transits.   I can't reconcile the cash machines and Adshel bus shelters with cars like the Ital and Mk2 Escorts being so plentiful either - funny how your mind sets things to a certain period until you watch random street footage like this. 

 

Plenty there for the shop-front, TV set and arch-shite pervs too - meanwhile so far I have clocked HA Roma spotted at 2.21 and I am pretty sure that's a Polski Fiat pickup with Truckman or similar at 6.45.
