Moving a car from Newcastle to Leicester?

Hi, I've just bought myself a new car up in Newcastle, and need to shift it from Newcastle to home, it's all legal and drivable.

Normally I'd pop up and grab it, but there seems to be a birthday every weekend for the next few weeks, so was wondering if anybody has ideas for cheap transportation, or if any one in the area fancies a short break in Leicestershire.

It's a 2001 Audi A4 tdi btw, so not a horrible thing for a cruise on the motorway.
