Devoid of Shite

IIn the last month I have sold my W124 (to Bourne Identity here)-not exactly shite, but sold at the price of shite. Also my Saab 9-5 SE auto which looked a bit shite with faded paint on two doors and  shite because of some odd noises coming from the engine and gearbox. And on Saturday sold my VW T5 which although not exactly shite, is so in the minds of many. I could not believe how many genuine offers I had at £8,000 for a eight year old van (even if it was a nice one).

 

I have though purchased a nice 9-5 Aero in the spec I wanted - that is, with all the uprating work I would do to it, already done. Saved a fortune that way, and want to keep it nice too.

 

So I will be on the lookout for a WBOD for the few days of winter when I don't want to ride the bike to work, or drive my Saab on salt encrusted roads. So many cars to choose from...............

Was reading recently that VW T5's (even older or tatty-ish ones) were fetching quite silly money as they seem to be the in-thing at the moment if you are looking for a bus/people carrier vehicle. So you sold at the right time then!

While not devoid of shite i feel a massive weight off my shoulders getting rid of 2 cars and using 2 old turds over the winter instead of a WBOD
