As i alluded to in the grin thread, yours truly has returned froma week of fine food, beer and outstanding automotive eye-candy that is available in the parts of Italy most of our compatriots never reach. We flew into Brindisi courtesy of StagecoachBusesInTheSky or Ryanair as they preferred to be called.

The red pin marks where we stayed, howevere most pics were taken whilst out and about:

These are pretty much two a penny, after all, the Italians were buying them brand new upto 2002 and most seem loathed to part with their vehicle of choice

Also available in top spec Sisley 4x4 flavour:

As well as my personal favourite, the bottom of the heap Panda 30:

Of course, for those wanting something a little larger for mia famiglia there are plenty of these knocking about:

Or perhaps something a bit rarer (although there were loads knocking about around here):

Personally, I have a weak spot for these (owning two of them myself presently), its great to see them out and about in daily use:

Not sure what this was as i was driving at the time but i think its a Piaggio 400 Microcar, happy to be corrected if anyone knows better:

And for those of you who nay be getting a little homesick, our italian friends do like the odd english motor:

Aye, exactly what it is....minus motori by the look of it... Great pics, nice to see some proper Fiats still around in Italy, along with proper tiny front plates.

Thanks for that. Not good with the rarer stuff. That area of Italy is really hanging in to the home grown stuff where as once you head up to Napoli etc... The Korean stuff has really taken hold.

I'd dearly love to bring something home and with the old man being a native and having an address down there it should be easier to do the paperwork. Being a sentimentalist though I would feel a bit guilty about bringing something like the Autobianchi away from its natural habitat!
