Guest bangerfan101 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Having been to upullit on wheelbarrow day. The eastern European folk can have a row of cars stripped in am hour and still make time for a brew and bacon butty.
dave21478 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 This is hardly a new thing though. A guy I used to work with years ago told how when he was younger he was a bit of a jack the lad cunt and him and his pal would steal parts to order for a couple of shady garages. Their speciality was mini engines - they had an old Bedford van with oxy acetylene cutting gear in the back with a long hose. They would back up to the target mini and just torch through everything.... wiring, hoses, driveshafts, gear rods and engine mounts. Then pull off the fuel line and the two of them would yank it up and out and fling it into the back of the van. It took just a few minutes and was pretty silent. Next morning the owner would find their car refusing to start and would lift the bonnet to find the whole lot gone! They used to nick anything that was needed....panels, windscreens, exhausts, interiors etc. Lacquer Peel 1
Louise2cv Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 ^ Nae chance - plastic doesn't rust. Not even French plastic...Oh David.... Your faith and loyalty is to be admired, but considering my 2cv had a rusty wing mirror and quarterlight glass, I don't think we can be so sure... Partridge and chaseracer 2
sierraman Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 My fathers Vectra SRI was stolen from his house during the small hours a few years ago. Discovered several months later, they had cut the entire front of the car off to get the engine out as quick as possible. Fortunately it was damaged beyond repair. Louise2cv and HH-R 2
