A question about strut top mounts...

My thinking was that TRW is an OEM manufacturer, but then Bosch is too, and they'll put their name on any old shit.

The ones I used for this MOT weren't even cheap and I knew they were cheese, but I didn't have time to shop around.

PSA front ends treat drop links as consumables - and most of the aftermarket ones are shite, according to Tame Mechanic.  Eventually though, it WILL be the strut top mounts; I've just had the Blingo done - with coil set #3 - at 12yrs/127000 miles, so not too bad.

I made the mistake of fitting patented suspension parts when the lower wishbones on my Xantia caused it to fail the M.O.T. Big mistake! Less than 3 months later they were knocking again & I had to buy & fit genuine Citroën ones-three times the price, but what a smooth ride afterwards!

The moral of the story: you pays your money and you takes your choice!

Sounds like the drop links on my 305 are away. Any idea if Peugeot still stock them or will it be a case of scouring French ebay for them?

Looks like they're NLS - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/classic/AIDE/8305/FB/G5/index.htmlit's either 508721 or 508724 but neither come up when I do a search on Service Box proper.

Either ebay (why just French?) or, as Twosmoke says, you could try a good factors.
