djimbob Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Do it, fixed a big fuck off hole in my transit radiator, such to get me to Northern radiators to get it reconditioned, and I do mean a sizeable leak! One should not ignore araldite repairs in the long term, mine lasted a year or so after purchase, I got lucky this time. Also my advice is after an overheat episode, change your engine oil and if you have an autobox which shares cooling with the same radiator etc change that oil too - overcooked oils are about as much use as water and will destroy moving parts pretty fucking quickly - learnt the hard way
RayMK Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Leaks from hairline cracks, pinholes and weeping hoses will probably be 'fixed' with K Seal. When you have time to do the job properly, you will curse the mess the stuff makes. If the Jag has an expansion bottle, putting it in there will not be effective - it needs to get into circulation to work properly.
