Telling about Renault still searching for a SAFRANE V6!!!

Well i,ve still not had much joy finding a Safrane V6 over here(want a UK car really)they only list 2 on the road in the UK and mine is one of them,and 11 on a sorn for the top of the range V6 RXE model.

I thought i had a lead on one recently not far from me but turned out to be a 2.2 not the 3.0 V6.

If anyone sees one advertised or dumped/scraped can they let me know,i know Motorhog has an N reg Black V6i at the moment,but i want a RXE really,now theres a mission for you all to find one,belive me i look,EVERY day on most sites but draw a blank...

Will do,the 2.2 one was a manual i think,but its sold i just rang the seller...

The title of the thread is suppose to read Talking about NOT telling about!

The V6 came in 3 versions a V6 RXE,then shortly after launch in 1993 a pov spec V6 RT then in July 1995 the RXE name was dropped(along with several toys)and it was known as a V6i until it was axed in 1996,with only about 700 V6 RXE versions sold in the UK,gearbox issues,computer controlled suspension problems and various other electrical issued killed most and they became worthless and unreliable,hence i love them!!!!

I would ALMOST bet that no-one can find one,but i thought this place wold be the best place to ask,i,ve tried advertising in wanted ads but no luck.

I know Darren bowker has a silver V6i but hes miles from me with the heads removed from the engine.....

Theres a green V6 RT in the Wales area that i have contact with the owner,thats on the road.

Theres a chap who has a red V6 RXE thats on a SORN that i have a little contact with through E-BAY.

Is there a way of listing a wanted AD on e-bay,as that might create the odd V6 tucked away that i don,t know about.

Nothing special, just the 'ol Volvo auto lump, but it's a surprisingly competent mile eater..

 

Purchase v cheaply from a current member in here, it spends a fair time autostradering, surprisingly competently.

 

Apart from a set of Silverstone alloys, totally standard...

I think you need to go old school 25v6turbo. You need to hit the yellow pages and ring round if possible every breakers yard in the country. I bet there is one hiding in the corner of a yard somewhere.

Have had a go at this a few months ago with no joy,but maybe i should try again shortly,just incase.
