Aside from Honda's Blackbird, the ZZR11 is the best real-world big bike IMO. It's all very well having race styling (Fireblade, R1, Gixers etc), race this-&-that but when you just want to ride somewhere without fuss, the ZZR is pure win. Better built and less rust-prone than previous GPZ's too. (Nothing against GPZ's, used to ride a mates 900 regularly, terrific thing). 

 

The OP's one is a good buy.

My GSXR750 was uncomfortable to the point that 20 minutes in the saddle was like being implaled on railings - my privates squashed flat aginst the tank and I could crush tennis balls with my clutch hand.

Just to fill the gap between the Jawa and the ZZR1100, there were two years spent with this wee gem:

 

 

 

Brilliant bike, 1997 yamaha xj600n. Gets derided for being the diesel astra of motorcycles but I think thats a bit unfair.

 

Yes when pushed on it becomes obvious the chassis is aimed at commuting but it was still fun to throw around. Bit breathless at the top end but quick enough, it's still 65bhp in 180kg

 

Done a bit of touring in Ireland last year, Wales this year - soft luggage on the back it took it all in its stride

Thought I'd update this now it's MOT time, all the big ZZR needed was a rear tyre and the contacts cleaned on the microswitch for the brake light.

 

Took the opportunity to regrease the suspension linkage bearings and that's it really. We will see what the tester says on Monday.

Tbh I'm tempted to tidy up the cosmetics and sell it, but everytime I ride the thing any notion soon leaves
