What a strange coincidence, a good while back I owned quite a few cars that rarely managed to drive past a pub.

For nearly ten years I owned a red Peugeot 206.  Every time I mentioned selling it, even just casually in conversation, something would go wrong with it the next day - or on one occasion about half an hour later (I had picked up a mate and was chatting cars with him while we drove to an event, I mentioned in convo that I might be looking for a replacement for it.  Half an hour later the engine management light came on and it lapsed onto three cylinders.)

 

In May this year I finally sold it to a friend's family and bought a Ford Focus to replace it.  Within 12 hours of me dropping off the 206 with its new owner, I had an epileptic fit (out of the blue, no previous or family history of them at all) and have been unable to drive since.  I've still never driven the Focus.

 

So please don't tell me curses etc are made up.
