There's quite a lot of interesting stuff in the background of that film. When I finally got a copy that wasn't an overwatched VHS tape of the cut-down television version recorded with a bad signal I spotted the Cortina that gets smashed up:

More from Christine. Arnie's dad's Volvo. These always looked way more rubbish than the Euro spec, with their crappy massive bumpers and twin lights with thoughtless black plastic surround:

There's a Civic behind Buddy Repperton as he leaves the gas station as well:

Oil crisis or not, I don't know who in their right mind would want to drive a tiny Civic on 1970s American roads.

Christine's special effects still look very impressive. Great film as well

In the novel 'Christine' , Denis drives a 1975 Plymouth Duster not a Dodge Charger, sorry but that's as useful as I get at 11.22 on a Friday night!

Another more recent one is It Follows (very creepy and recommended) which seems takes place in an indeterminate time period, so lots of 70's and 80's Yank shite around

I think if any film were to get a 'worst film props ever' award, it should be Death Race 2000. Those cars are almost no better than Red Bull Soap Box Derby carts. They must have pulled those things out a junkyard, hacksawed the roofs off and just started trowelling on wob :D

I watched a film called Hush the other night, bitish film from 2008. Not a great film and I only mention it as the main protagonist starts off driving an A plate E28 before stealing a mk2 Granada estate

Nightmare on Elm Street series has a thing for Volvo estates:

And the awful remake:

It really hasn't aged well at all. The remake with Jason Statham is much better
