I take it there's no 5-speed Vaux box for a relatively simple swap. On Fords it's the Sierra Type 9 box but even so it's quite a lot of cutting around to get it in.

I'm not sure which Sierra 5-speed it was but I put one in a Mk four Cortina 2.0S, no cutting but I had to, ahem, modify the exhaust and turn the mounting around (and then someone stole it). I also put one in an Avenger, that was a lot of cutting, plus a bell housing from Skip Brown and I had to sleeve the spigot.

If you could find the bits, you could probably add the overdrive unit that Vauxhall in its wisdom deleted. Think there was a Getrag 5-speed option later, but I doubt a replacement gearbox would be cheap.
