Yo.

 

I'm on the brink of making an offer on a non running Rover 800. I will use it for spares or get it back on the road to give to MISS_PARTRIDGE at some stage.

 

The car is a non runner and the rear brakes have seized, making it a trailer job to get it to the storage compound. I have somebody who might be able to help me out but I'm not sure. Is there anyone on here who could help?

 

The car is in Wiltshire. Storage is in Hampshire.

 

I will pay you for your services and buy you a bevvy in the pub after. Note, I have not yet made an offer on the car.

 

This won't be for a couple of weeks or so.

That's gonna be A RIGHT BASTARD to get on a trailer. When you break the winch, then you'll be screwed.

What I'd do is drag it around and hit it with hammers until it decides to roll (in which case it could be A-framed (unless it's an auto)). If it still wouldn't play nicely, I'd unbolt the back calipers before attempting to pull it up the ramps.
