I have the same problem as cavcraft regards the Vectra. Our Vectra only came with one key and the buttons have never been brilliant. About a month or two ago the finally packed up. Tried packing out the switches but cant get them to work. Thought about buying a refurb kit online but don't know how good it would be. Main dealer prices are too much. Every time you unlock with key the alarm goes off till key is in ignition. Admittedly the alarm is not the loudest but still makes curtains twitch at 6.30 in the morning. Other day it was icy and door was stuck shut which I didn't realise till I opened handle and the door opened enough to set alarm off but not actually open so ended up trying to open door without knackering the seals. I am gonna disconnect the siren before long.

Must have missed that post mate. No lump of rubber but the unit is on a little clip. Took unit from holder and tucked down side of airbox. Door open indicator will probably tell me the bonnet is open but that's less annoying. Thanks
