New Neighbours - More Shiters?

I find people's readiness to part with mouldering vehicles inversely proportional to the rate of grass growth around it.   Good luck!

I kind of live in three places.

At our flat, there are a block of garages.  We have an E plate VW Polo that hasn't moved in years and is all mouldy but looks like it'd be an easy sort.  We have a 70s VW Camper and an H reg Mini, plus an M reg Cavalier, an N reg Corsa and of course my M reg Astra so the indestructible pre shite Vauxhall collection is complete (and one day I will get a photo but not when anyone is looking).  Also an S reg Merc sports car, and a J reg Nissan sports car that is presumably a Jap import and no doubt faster than I will ever go.  Or want to.

Which isn't bad for a small block really?

We're not doing badly in my street, really.

There's a bit of modern toss like anywhere, but we also have a truly abused EP3 Civic Type R, an M reg Rover 200 Coupe that shares a drive with a champagne coloured Mk3 Astra, there's a Merc C class covered in moss, a W220 S-Class with some serious suspension issue that never moves because it's slammed itself to the drive and won't let go, a 66 2a Land Rover, a Mk5 Escort diesel van, a 1.6 Laser Capri, and then my 1952 Land Rover usually pissing in the street somewhere.

Oh, and someone always visits relatives in some Cadillac saloon V6 yank shite. It's hideous.

My street is pretty shit for tat really; fella across the street has a 3.0dCi Vel Satis and the only other interest apart from my brood of Volvos is the fella from the car breakers who drives an E-reg XR3i.

Not just my road, pretty much all around me is populated with 'Nice, new cars - none of that old rubbish'. Aside from my stuff, there's a Civic that never seems to move in the adjacent road (thought of an offer on that) and the M-reg Escort that has now gone that looked like a Baghdad taxi with dents and rust in every panel (driven by a senior lady not some kid). There was/is a Rover 75 down the end that was very tidy too. Everything else is very new &/or big and posh, even the few kids in my road own stuff that's only a few years old. (Lad across road has an Astra VXR).
