commer engine

hi all, dose any one know if we can fit a commer van engine in to a rapier h120, with out to much hassel,thanks

If memory serves the commer engine is basically the minx/super minx unit ie upright. The rapier engine was a slant engine and I think that it will physically fit the gearbox but the problem will be the inlet/exhaust manifolds not allowing the carb to sit level. also there maybe a problem with the crank bush( for the spigot shaft) check these before you try and put it in. hi all, we got the engine in but the sump wont let the engine sit on the mountings, we are going to try to cut the sump and reshape it. I will let you know how we get on.
