Sloth in a bowl Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 So I have spent the last 7 days in Rome and now the 500 odd holiday snaps have finally dragged themselves into Flicker, I can present a selection of Italian chod (Cioda) We will start with a classicDSCF3244 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr Which also comes in yellowDSCF3273 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr and BlueDSCF3523 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr Moving on and small Lancias are seen with regularity if not abundanceDSCF3263 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr as are Fiat PandasDSCF3307 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr Not a sign of a proper Uno or Tipo all week though I was surprised by this deviceDSCF3474 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr Finally for the first post I will leave you with a Roman carpark in the rainDSCF3467 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr DVee8 and Junkman 2
Sloth in a bowl Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 For our next set of pictures I will look at the sub-car class. Rome has loads of these 3 wheelersDSCF3299 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr and when I mean loads, I mean loadsDSCF3237 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr They also seem to have 101 variants of the diesel mini car likeDSCF3246 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr DSCF3245 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr andDSCF3510 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr andDSCF3525 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr andDSCF3541 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr though smart cars are massively common, I only saw one of theseDSCF3509 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr Junkman, DVee8 and Jim Bergerac 3
Sloth in a bowl Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Now for a few working cars To start with Roman taxis are all whiteDSCF3241 by Sloth in a bowl, on FlickrThey come in many varieties and only one of them was a Mk1 Octavia The police have a bunch of schemes, I missed the flying squads light blue with tiger motive but got this.DSCF3358 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr and the worlds most camp 'snatch' landroverDSCF3427 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr while they also have proper Landrovers in townDSCF3302 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr I also got a poor picture of a dust cartDSCF3492 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr and the Lancia Thema that seemed to be working as a limoDSCF3736 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr Junkman and Inspector Morose 2
Guest yelookinit Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I have been to Rome twice in last year i love it there. Got a lot of old car pics, really should upload them.
Sloth in a bowl Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 For the next set we have some random pictures. Renault Twizzies have a small following and one was seen at night with a lady driver and her boyfriend in the backDSCF3270 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr Little and Large with more taxi action in the backgroundDSCF3327 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr A few of these were aboutDSCF3334 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr And somebody couldn't stand convention and drove about town in thisDSCF3338 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr High quality parking skills were in evidence (and a lot of modern Minis)DSCF3345 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr Cinqicentos and Secento's are still about in small numbersDSCF3471 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr As are Renault TwingosDSCF3528 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr though I can only remember seeing one EscortDSCF3689 by Sloth in a bowl, on Flickr Junkman 1

pompei Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Loving all the 500 pics (naturally). We had a week in Croatia at the beginning of the month. Virtually no interesting motors except one Zastava 750 (fFat 600) but loads of Twingos and a fair smattering of Renault 4's.
