I've just been and that 205 is over priced by £400 the body kit is the definition of aftermarket. Shame really. The 5 series was nice but no nicer than one you could buy off gumtree for the same money and you're not buying out a scappie. There was  also a scruffy but mildly appealling 4.6 v8 p38 Range Rover for 900 quid.

I think they will negotiate a bit on the price though.

How many miles on that Beemer did you notice?

I'm not sure of the mileage. It's a 523i auto in plain jane se spec though

I take a wander round U-Pull-It once in a while and this post has prompted me to do so again soon.

 

Always something interesting to see; last time there was an intact, as far as I could tell, late 60's Land Rover SWB - don't know what it was doing there, I thought those things always found a market as donors what ever state they were in. Proportionally lots of Rover 75's which have no doubt done their head-gaskets, though one did yield a copy of the owner's manual, costing me £2 as opposed to £15 plus on Ebay.

Yes that bx was mine, it was offered for sale on a few pages/forums including bx owners club, eventually priced dropped to £275 and there were no takers. Personally i wouldnt touch it with a bargepole unless your into them, there is a serious rattle coming from a pump or tensioner, quite a big lhm fluid leak, even on normal setting the suspension is stiff, it kept on draining the battery, started loosing coolant but didnt know until the red light of death came on (seriously no temp gauge?), plus its a 1.4 not as if its a diesel, i ended up hating the thing.
