Automatic Renaults ?

I have bad legs so i drive auto's   and Ive been tempted several times by early Megane automatic's  as a modern daily   but ive heard many many tales of woe  of no gears when there should be etc  

 

I have also been seriosly tempted by Xsara hdi auto's too 

 

anybody had a good one ?

my 607 HDI auto is okay

with the bigger 2.2 engine you get a ZF 4HP20 transmission which is much stronger
