Someone in Kent needed...

Hi,

I'd like to have a play with a Clio Sport engine and fit it to my Laguna. It needs a new cambelt anyway so why not...

Problem is that down here in Germany they are way more expensive than in the UK. So is there anyone around Dover / Canterbury / Ashford that could accept the delivery of the engine and store it for no more than a forthnight? I'd use shiply to get it there. It will be paid for, so no risks. You sell it if I don't turn up :)

Don't know what to offer in exchange... Money, beer? Perhaps? Any help/ ideas would be appreciated!

This is my new heap that already made it to Southern Spain and back: Funny these are so cheap- I still consider them as new.

Ok,

someone in West Sussex offered help... :) Thank you!

The car is fast enough really. Should rather spend my money on a LPG-kit. But well.

I hope I can entertain you with new shite pics?

And the new number plate on the V6T, old one was RENO 2500. I have only put 50km on it this year. Maybe I should sell it?

What version of the Clio engine is the Laguna getting ? Should be good fun on the Autobahn !

The 25 looks lovely... Any more pics, especially of the turbocharged PRV ?

Hi,
I uploaded a few pics to the gallery. I hope you like them? Thanks to those who got this new forum going. :)

The Laguna is the 2.0 16V Version (140Hp) - a modern engine (F4R), still in Produktion. It is good on fuel and due to variable cam timing torquey at low revs.

The one in mind is a Clio 172 engine. Same type, but 172 HP, higher compression, different pistons, cam timing (and manifolds). I'd install it at first with my Laguna manifolds.  Around town the car might even be slower, but on the motorway it should be good fun. And the higher compression will be great for LPG.

The V6T is great on the autobahn. My old Diesel version was quick, but you do notice those 205HP pushing at higher speeds.

Boring technical stuff really :) So have a look at my Gallery pics...

Good luck with the engine transplant, will you be documenting it somewhere online ?
