Probably why so many have died diving to the wreck.

 

A diver claimed to have found the remains of the Norseman in the Andrea Doria's hold in the 1990s. He said that it was only identifiable because of its whitewalls; the rest of it was rusted to bits.

 

Ironically, he died a few years later from the bends while diving on the wreck.
