Enfield Autojumble Reminder

It's this weekend and the Monday, it's always good and I missed last years so will be bringing a sack truck. I did have big plans of organising myself and doing a stall this time but time is moving too quick for me.

I'm going on the Sunday..............but be warned I have a jinx on this event.

Every time I go it rains.

A lot. Twice it has been canclled when I have entered.

I'm going tomorrow before everyone drowns. It has done nothing but rain and blow a bloody gale, plus the sodding traffic along the A10 and through Edmonton was utter shite today. No idea why. I haven't been for 3 years as I got fed up of seeing the same stuff, however, I need some bodywork bits, so needs must and all that.

Last time I went it was so muddy that hippo's were thinking of moving in. Not sure if that was the same year or the year after that pikeys torched the fish and chip caravan.

I have no excuse not to go as I am only 15 minutes away. It's £9 to get in this year but I have a free one day pass :lol: .

Went as promised. OMG sunshine shocker!!! Beautiful day for it.

Numbers seemed down from what I recall, not as many traders and certainly fewer cars. Only one steam engine today, possibly another tomorrow. Nice though.

So, what did I purchase:

A magnet on an extending stick. I buy one every year as I forget where I put the one from the previous year.

A fuel filter for the Daf

A roll of loom tape also for the Daf.

Thank god I got in for free. On the down side, the battery flap on my camera (which was held in place by gaffer tape) fell off and has now rendered my camera to the level of a useless thing. Arse.

Next SAT SUN MON, £10 entry seems steep, £90 for a pitch all 3 days looks reasonable, wish I could motivate myself to book one.

A tenner now eh? Excellent value for money*

I have the option of another free pass, might go on Sunday as am away on Sat and working (again) on the Moanday.

Went along yesterday, bit wet to start with, spent all day perusing the autojumble, usual comedy highlight of a yellow Delboy Robin Regal was trumped by a tired looking and headless old Rover V8 priced at £450, the two heads, £150, top marks for optimism, I picked up a few bargains, so the extortionate £10 entry turned out quite reasonable.

Ah yes, the Enfield Pag is on as it is now raining. Perhaps it should be held in the middle of a drought stricken country as it never fails..........
