More Peugeot 405 shite..

Well I couldn't resist it. I must have looked at or bought virtually every 405 2.0 automatic for sale in the last six or seven years, and have just acquired this latest saloon to join my current saloon and estate. This one's a '95 GTX auto with 54,000 miles from new.

Picked up from North London yesterday following an interesting train journey from Plymouth to Paddington on a packed out train, with an half hour stop near Swindon due to a points failure. Wish I'd taken some photos of the train journey, would have given me something to do.

Here's photo of said vehicle; drives better than both the others although a few things need sorting including blowing exhaust and a particularly noisy/rattly engine cooling fan which sounds alarming but I suppose isn't too serious? And no sunroof - AAARRGH - love sunroofs! Think I may do a slow restoration on it for when the red one dies.

Will try and post some more pics when I've cleaned it, perhaps all three together.

Special thanks to Andrew 353w for being kind enough to give the car a once over for me before I came down.

Definitely an unhealthy obsession:

No. 1 (my favourite despite the highest mileage - loved the colour)

No. 2 (Not a patch on the first, so over to -

No. 3 (Rode like an old Vauxhall, not a Peugeot. Always suspected it had been in a prang.

No.4 (The one with the HGF which cost me far too much)

No. 5 and the current one, second best one I've had but don't like the colour)

No. 6 which I share with a family member as a general workhorse (petrol auto again of course so stinking cheap)

What I really would like is a silver or light blue metallic saloon, with a sunroof. So if it turns up it will be No.8
