After fitting the stereo the other night, (you'll also notice my shiny knob, fitted as the old one literally disintegrated in my hand)

 

 

I found out that the speakers were long past their best! Tinny, crackly and blown So tonight I nicked the Pioneer ones out my old 205 and fitted them in.

 

 

 

 

It's much improved now, I can actually hear my tunes

 

The rears don't sound at their best either, so I will look into replacing them in the near future too.

Brilliant car in the right colour, an F plate is about what you want. I was hoping (no idea why) it was an XY8 engined one - I've no experience of the TU3S..

 

Definitely on the list of wants either a decent GTi. Or a very early XS or GT..

I saw a nifty XS with German plates on the A27 today as I made good my French engine powered escape from the tracksuit-clad Chav Hell that is Portsmouth. If you are on here, Herr Von Scheissemann, that was me booming past yer in the Murena with the bird poo on it.

Another swift bit of French fettling tonight, I had a small parcel waiting for me when I got home from work, now my wheels don't look quite so pikey and have some lovely centres

 

 

I'm pleased how this little bus is shaping up, a pair of driveshafts and cambelt are next on my shopping list
