A serious question. what would this be worth to the UK buyers.

At the cost of say 3500 pounds on the road in Brit, would it be worth bringing over ?

Difficult one to call but I recon you might get £1200 for it on a good day.

I agree, I don't think it would be worth much unless someone specifically wants one and is willing to pay for it. Large Japanese saloons (think 80s Toyota Crown, etc) don't seem to fetch strong money. I could be totally wrong, just looking at it from the view of the average chod buyer.

I think it will be a long game to find somebody prepared to pay £3500 for one of those even though it is ‘investment grade blue chip shite’. I reckon it would get on every old car forum up and down the land with ‘OMG LOOK AT THIS!’ and thered be lots of admiration, but no-one has £3500 to tip into a mega obscure Japanese saloon that looks like a ‘Chrysler K-car Vanden Plas’. I reckon £1500 is about as much as you’d prise out of anyone for it. Folk pay decent sums for Toyota Centurys and Nissan presidents and the like but AFAIK these things are not quite in the same league in terms of mental Japanese ‘luxury’ features and V8 excess.

 

It looks the absolute bollocks to me of course, for just those reasons, but I couldn’t spend £3500 on it.

Thanks for the replies, it can stay on its council estate. I did think that it might be a wee bit difficult to shift at that sort of money !
