Not all Betas rusted away :

 

 

Mk1 Honda Accords and VW K70s suffered from exactly the same rust issue, but Lancia being Lancia (the UK was their 2nd largest market and they were keen to protect their reputation) offered to exchange afflicted cars for new models, well before the press got hold of it. Some of the cars were up to 6 years old by that time and on 2nd or 3rd owners. Shame Datsun didn't do the same when my grandad's 140J Violet needed new panels and a complete respray after 2 years.

i think the one's that are left are good origional cars or restored examples. mine been looked after and i think the ziebart when new has helped it survive. £2500 if anyone's interested.
