Auto Shitey Day!

What follows is a point by point abbrivated where i can of the day i had on Friday the 7th December 2012. A day i hope never to repeat or at least not in full!

 

o815h Friday 7th dec 2012 Frozen Friday morning. Got up to take me other half to work and to go get one of my Itals readyish for filming in Glasgow.

 

Daily Omega frozen. Opened runway gates deiced Omega, and engine truned over but no way it gonna go! Awwwnaw!

2 other half goes balistic might be late as having to walk and pavements icey.

3 i head to shed to get Ital and try save something.

4 0830 arrive at shed, shed door lock frozen! Heat key up ( in me mouth) jiggle key eventually ice melts i get in!

5 Pull car oot! Discover heater motor decides not to work and front number plate not attched. I had forgotten to do that the nite previouse.

6 Go to use phone to contact me other half realise i have left phone in hoose!

7 pinch number plate securing screw form me Marina as not enough plastic on front of Ital to stick plate to front of car!

8 Head back to house to get ready, grap toast and travel mug, head to car phone, other half fall out over phone!. Day going great so far.

9 As i pass last turn off on A77 before M77 starts, radio tell me there was an accident on the southbound carriage way thus q s both ways!

10 Get stuck in the congestion but not too bad clear it relativly easlily!

11 1000yards from my exit on m8, traffic stops!. Moves slowly eventually, Big police 4x4 sitting in middle lane with blues on??????

12 Arrive at film shoot location a ok. get brekkie then take car to where it will be needed. Hoping the slippy clutch wont let me down.! It doesnt thankfully!

13 Filming over head home. Trundling down m77, suddenly car sounds decidley noiser, eh cant be me surley??? Lift foot reapply power, it is me, sigh what now? Then car coughs a bit.! Hmm

14 Chicken out go home via a77. Make it safe and sound.

15 Jump start omega and go get petrol and then go get Denise from her work without swtching car off.

16 Switch car off when we get home but does restart.

17 Go out 1 hour and a half later to go get son and nothing no even click!.

18 Abandon gms finest dive into bls finest and go get son!

19 drop son of go jumo Omega again and take to see what the problem is.

20 Arrive at me mates workshop and he no in but turn up rite behind me.

21 i turn car off, by mistake and nothing not even a click or anything.! Not popular!.

22 3 batteries and a booter pack car starts.

23 First diagnoses tis the alternator not charging the battery! Shite just what i need!!

24 Turn car around switch off so we can give it a mega boot before going back to collect son from his fun swim.

25 Switch booster of try car sod all again nothing no click no warning lites nothin! AAAW NAW!?

26 That aint the alternator that the battery. However i had brought my spare batter with me for reasons i i cant explain i went and got it.

27 Battery try slightly modified and battery fitted. SECOND ATTEMPT and away she goes!.

28 So far car started every attempt so far touch wood!. Omega had been a bit driech at starting however she always was a bit sluggish to turn over so i thought it was just how she started.

29 And Finally front passenger door now stuck locked! Cental locking hadnt been working on it, now it wont open at all!.

30 I now know why cars are called SHE!

I've had days like that. Would never swap them for a Toyota Avensis which will always work though!
