2004 Saab 9-3 Fuses

The heater fan has packed in and i'm struggling to find out which fuse I should look at. The various forums don't agree on which number fuse to try. I have also misplaced* my manual/handbook. Anyone know please?

 

There was also a comment about removing fuses can knacker the ECU? Can there be anything in this?

If similar to the Vectra, there is a fusebox on the left side of the dashboard. The fuses occasionally corrode up. Wiggle them around a bit. Also, just to add, if indeed Vectra-similar, the resistor packs fuck up... they are screwed to the heater blower motor casing. If it has climate control, these cost a bomb.

Thanks Albert. This has the box in the engine bay. I would like to hope it will be a fuse but being a pessimist I suspect it will be the fan motor or resistor pack which has shafted itself.

If the set up is like the Vectra one,there is a issue with water ingress which fries the resistor pack;the modified one has a drain hole in it to keep it from drowning
