This is a bit of a repost here so forgive me but I wouldn't mind a bit of wisdom from the collective

I spotted this:

A few weeks ago here in Dublin, I think it was originally up for €450 but it dropped to €250 last week but tonight it hit €150! Guess they want rid huh?

Off the road for around 4 years but is running and driving.

Right now I'm off the road with the Polo in dry-dock with head issues so I've been gawping with intent/checking a few ad and stuff with the dangerous idea I might change my wheels and this looks a little bit of alright...

Based on the old Fiat Tipo as far as I know mechanically but that is as much as I recall.

Anybody know anything about these? Advice or rotbox horror shows appeciated! :D

The main point that I've been told for look out for is corrosion in the rear bootwell, make sure you lift the carpets. Personally I think all of the Tipo based cars are pretty tough and would have one any day and have "nearly bought" a Tipo, Dedra, Tempra SW and most recently an Alfa 155. Dedras are quite well built and compare favourably with most other cars of their age. I think their size makes for a good handling car. Being a 93 car, it'll have the SOHC engine, so check that the cambelts been done at some point. Cars with the 2 litre Lampredi engine seem to be heavy on oil. By far the best place to look is the Thema and Dedra Consortium website and save Brian Hilton email address in your favourites. He's the Dedra advisor on the Lancia Motor Club website. Good luck!

Meant to add that there's a good bunch of Lancia owners in Ireland

I'm figuring that myself, at the money I could just put it over the weighbridge if it turns out to be a lemon right?

Pretty much, lets face it you cant really get any cars for €150 nowadays so if you like the idea of it you might as well just buy it
