They're still after a good driver's door for it.  The spare I've got is just as rusty as the one they've got but has less dents.  If anyone has a drivers door do shout up and I'll get the message over to them, or you can pop on the www.leylandprincess.co.uk forum and DIY.

i saw this both at the nec november show, when folks were signing it, and more recently at the restoration show. good work, i'm pleased to see at least one of these fantastic machines getting the chance to live again.

 

been a sicko i think the princess is a really stylish car, it should have been a hatchback right at the start, as planned, but no matter, they look amazing.

A guy I used to know had a black 1978 2200 HLS with the Torcars hatch conversion. He used it to tow his Mini to Standlake Arena and rated it as the best tow car he ever had. Ended up in Hughes scrapyard about 1988 isn.

I've been trying to find out if any of the Torcars conversions survive and all I've learned is that maybe two have, but no specifics on either.  Would love to get my mitts on one.
