Just had a good bit of service so thought I'd share it.

Ordered up a set of 155 Uniroyals for the Agro from Tyre shopper.co.uk, they give you 10% discount off a set of tyres which is nice, and got quoted for £160 all in with fitting VAT etc. Not a bad price really and I can't fault the service.

Just had a call and been advised that the Uniroyals are not available (big sad cos I like their sticky grippy wet performance) and have just been upgraded to Continental ECO Contact 3's for the same price. I've never had Continental's before (never been that wealthy) so I'm hoping they are a good tyre.

A quartet of Contis for $160 all in is indeed bargain-ous, nice one. :D

I had a set of Contis fitted to The Volvo in spring 2004, not long after I first bought it:

They looked good and lasted well, although they cost £63 per corner - I'd hate to think how much they are nowadays

I'm hoping that they'll make the Allegro handle better than a deaf kid on rollerskates.

Well Beri is just back from National tyres having had the set of Continental 155 80 r13s fitted to the Foxy Potato. These replace the buggered 145 75 r13s originally fitted and bless her she managed to talk the lads there into sorting the tracking too. Apparently the difference to drivability is startling and I can't wait to try it myself tonight.

I put continental premium sport contact 2's on the Rover a little while ago. I had Goodyear Eagle NCT5s before, and the Cunty's are quieter in the dry and grip better in the wet. Rover 25s tend to suffer from lift-off oversteer, and the new boots have dramatically improved this.

I've got a theory about the rover 25.
