I had to get bodgy after the throttle cable snapped on my shitty rape van, the thing had been sticking whenever it rained so I bought a new one, great long bugger, and threw it under the back seat a couple of years ago, shouldn't be a big deal only the dirty great shitheap has the engine at the arse end, it's parked on the road and because it's an OMG LPG conversion WMD, wont start from cold without a good application of throttle, so I cant get it onto my drive, or I could switch to pez, wang it over for half an hour to prime the carb with the 20 euros worth of sausage water I put in last summer and see how it goes with the disconnected autochoke, might work but it's still not going to drive anywhere.

Fucked if I'm crawling underneath, along the pissy dogshit gutter in the bastard cold, so I batted the old cable off the carb, hooked on the new, shut the engine cover over it and screwed the outer onto the back seat,

 

 

Wierdly the cable isn't long enough when passed through rather than under the van, so had to lash up an extension to the pedal, remarkably, managed this without leaving the vehicle from oddments contained within, heater was going so was more than happy to take my time. 

 

 

Works fairly well, the pedal's lighter, but the cable poses a bit of a trip hazard, I'll probably re-route it correctly when the cold snap goes.
