This is my old Astra which the girl I sold it to had many a happy mile in:

 

1997 Vauxhall Astra 1.4LS.

3 months MOT

Five door.

Power steering.

Central locking.

Sunroof.

CD player.

97,000 miles. (will check this)

Started first time untill battery failed, engine runs like a Swiss watch and is very quiet.

Very cheap to run, tax and insure.

Bodywork in lovely condition.

Interior is extremely tidy too.

Even the alloy wheels are mint!

Very good tyres.

 

Known faults:

Front bumper has a few scuffs and the grille surround doesn't quite sit right.

A couple of shallow dents but you've pretty much got to look for them.

One tyre is low-ish on tread so will want replacing reasonably soon but it's still legal.

Battery failed - left it while went on holiday and very frosty weekend nailed the battery - have started since to move it - bump started and drove about 3 miles.

Exhaust blowing at front end - will get this sorted if get chance.

Front indicator cover fallen off but still have it!!

 

 

She's after £300 or near enough and is in Cheshire, sort of on the border with Staffordshire I think, Kidsgrove rings a bell. Pictures and all that to follow. It was a cracking car when I had it and we put it through an MOT and whanged round in it for a bit. If you want contact info etc let me know, cheers.

Oh, for all the ECOWRECK H8RS out there this is the 8V engine and therefore piss easy to work on and will probably last for ever mechanically if you just service it every blue moon.
