Shite clear out: 106 for sale.

Righ oh, here's my lad's 106 for sale. He's now 'upgraded' to a 1.0 Corsa so I inherited this and it's filling a garage space that could be used for something else.

 

1998 Peugeot 106 1.1 3 door.

123,000 miles.

Power steering and central locking.

Metallic red, really smart colour which suits the car nicely.

Rather snazzy interior.

Not long since had a new radiator and thermostat.

Cracking little runner and mega on the fuel.

No stupid boy racer bits whatsoever.

 

Bad bits:

Out of tax and test but done sod all mileage since the last MOT.

It will need an exhaust though, where the centre pipe joins the backbox is blowing so unless you're handy with a welder it'll need a new one. There's a fella on eBay who sells them c/w aftermarket cat for under £40 delivered. We never got tound to it and being honest I wasn't sure if the aftermarket cat would satisfy MOT emissions.

Roof has suffered from lacquer peel in places, as have one or two other bits on the car. Some minor surface rust bubbling on wing tips.

 

I honestly think besides the exhaust and perhaps a basic service/check over it should pass the MOT, but feel free to come and have a good poke round yourself. If you live miles away asak anyone you know who is nearer to me to come and inspect it on your behalf and post the results of their findings on here, I have nothing to hide.

 

Pictures and better description (much) later, it's currently buried under mounds of junk in the garage and I've got the battery on charge.

 

£250 of your earth pounds please, I'm in Chester. I realise this isn't desperately cheap but with an MOT I would expect it to fetch about £450 easily. Yes, I could do the exhaust and MOT it myself but a) I haven't got time and b ) if I did I'd want £500 ono for the car.

I should bump this thread really as the car is still here taking up valuable garage space.

I have brand new (aftermarket) exhaust parts including the cat and I'd honestly think once they're fitted (and a second hand fog light put on the car) it should go through the MOT*

I've really got no time or money at the moment so it needs to go.
